Putty  merupakan sebuah perangkat lunak open source yang tersedia dengan kode sumber dan dikembangkan dan didukung oleh sekelompok relawan. Pada awalnya Putty dikembangkan oleh Simon Tatham untuk platform Windows, Putty adalah SSH dan telnet client.

Here are the PuTTY files themselves:

• PuTTYtel (a Telnet-only client)
• Plink (a command-line interface to the PuTTY back ends)
• Pageant (an SSH authentication agent for PuTTY, PSCP, PSFTP, and Plink)
